Work it no more.
One of the things I am always cautious about is respecting your time. With that in mind I have decided to officially retire Who Stole My Stapler.
It's true. You no longer need to trek all the way over to Work It, Mom to view my most BRILLIANT (shutup, is so) work-related ponderings because as of today I am officially closing up shop over there.
The reason is quite simple and to be honest, it has nothing to do with you and everything to do with me, myself and I. You see there are many, many, MANY people here on the world wide internets that make their living writing here on the web. I am not one of those people.
While I did earn a wee bit of fun money posting over on Work It, Mom I am by no means motivated by that money. Despite my mom's best efforts, coaching and encouragement over the years, I am not, have not and don't expect to ever be a person that makes a career out of authoring anything.
Aside from a bit of extra cash in my pocket I admittedly enjoyed many benefits posting on Who Stole My Stapler.
On several occasions my blatherings opened up doors of communication between myself and co-workers. Meetings were born of those blog posts and new levels of understanding and communication were achieved.
People from my past (personally and professionally) found their way to Who Stole My Stapler which re-opened forgotten doors of communication.
New friends were made. So many new friends! I wrote Who Stole My Stapler targeting moms in the workplace but I connected with many, many people in and out of that demographic.
Who Stole My Stapler was a great experience. It was a great way for me to take a new look at how and what I post on the internet. The reality is, however, that Work It, Mom is a business. They have expectations of the people that do work for them and I am quite simply not in a place where I can keep those commitments. No matter how small those commitments may seem.
So to everyone that found me there (Kate), followed me here (Mandy), reconnected with me (Patrick) or stalked me from the office to the internet (Ertz): THANK YOU. Who Stole My Stapler was a fun experience and I'm glad I did it.
I now (hopefully) return you to more regularly scheduled Kazoofus broadcasts.

I'll miss your contributions at Work It, Mom, but I know where else to find you! :-)
Me, too! Not that I've been around WIM much, lately. But I always read you, even though I didn't comment much. Glad I followed you here.

It is a sad day for stapler thieves everywhere but a great day for anyone who gives a kazoofus because we'll still have a place to hear your voice, and maybe more of it. Not that I've ever stolen a stapler, I just mean...oh, hell. Cheers!
I'm one of the non-moms who read your posts on WIM regularly, and benefitted from much that you shared. I hope you'll continue to post some business-related thoughts here, too. Can't tell you how much I enjoy your insights on work-life (as well as all the stuff you post here, of course).
I am so glad i found you at WIM and was able to follow you here :) Just means that the late comers to WIM will have to hear the stories of 'who stole my stapler' and it's brilliance!
