1, 2, 3, 4...60,000 reasons to smile
A friend of mine manages a chicken farm. When I first learned about this I thought ok...10-20 chickens in a little white painted coop.
Oh gracious no.
Turns out he has in the neighborhood of sixty THOUSAND chickens. And just a few short weeks ago he received a new fresh batch.
I couldn't imagine what 60,000 baby chicks might look like so he snapped these pictures for me.
I swear to god...if given the opportunity I could name and love every last one of them.
*pinch their beaks*
The news has been so full of horrible news lately. Let's make an effort on Wednesday to spread joy every chance we get.

Wow they ARE so cute! How does one care for them without falling on one's ass every 5 seconds? I mean how do you get around without stepping on their precious tails???

That photo reminds me of an episode of Mega-Machines TLC aired. They had an 18-wheeler full of baby chicks and they were unloading them in some of the most "ingenious" manners with machines that might be deemed "less than humane" by the PETA folks. The amazing thing was, the chicks didn't mind and didn't seem to be the least bit bothered. They're certainly happy little things, aren't they?
I simply adore baby chicks! Have wonderful memories of feeding them when I was a little girl. My grandfather and I would go to his special place to fish in an area of WV. by the New River, and I would feed the baby chicks.

They are so adorable! But now it makes me not want to eat chicken!
